In trying to tart up the game, most of those mods end up ruining the entire experience.
#DOOM 3DO MUSIC WAD MOD#
Oh and for the record, I despise pretty much every modern Doom source mod with a passion. And besides, low resolution is one of the things PSX Doom doesn't fix. But that's mostly about me being used to games on bigger screens and with HD resolutions. The only thing about DOS Doom that's disappointing to me now is the blocky low 320x200 resolution. Maybe Doom II was a bit harder on my machine, because of the larger levels and increased number of monsters, but I can't remember ever having any serious problems. I never experienced any choppiness, Doom always ran smooth as butter. I originally played Doom on a 486 with 8 MB RAM and with SMARTDRV loaded, as TmEE points out above. Guy2: -Surely not, people in the future will play today's games on emulators and forget how they first sounded on their original forms! Guy2: -It's done! He has the source code of this freakin' damn awesome sound engine and will send me it in a floppy by mail! The Playstation port will be great now! Guy1: -Domark! Holy GOD! Why didn't you tell me it before? Can you get an autograph for me? Domark, I've always dreamed about working for them! Guy2: -I've just remembered that I have a friend working for Domark, I'll try to get some source code with him. Guy2: -DKC? Bloodshot is selling millions, don't you read the magazines? So how the fuck are we suppose to develop a groundbreaking freakin' Doom port for the wimpy Playstation if the Mega Drive already owned our fat asses? I thought everybody was playing DKC! I never heard about that. Guy2: -A revolutionary FPS with ambient music (?) for the almighty Sega Mega Drive, your dumb asshole! Guy1: -Holy damn, what the f*ck is this game? Guy2: -I'm playing the awesome Mega Drive's Bloodshot, of course! Bloodshot had this a year before on Sega Genesis :)
